In April of 2001, my spring class decided that we wanted to paint something. One of my students who was remodeling an old hotel in Port Dalhousie, Ontario suggested that it might be fun to paint a mural around the outdoor patio area of the newly refurbished restaurant/pub. Since the name of the place is "The Cottage", a Georgian Bay scene (with Group of Seven styings) was selected. This was a neat idea but it wasn't until we saw the project did we realize that it came with some baggage. Firstly, the wall was extremely rough therefore all the work had to bee freehanded. Since the bottom part of the wall was comprised of Jersey (highway) barriers, to reach most areas required standing on a ledge about 10" wide. Undaunted, we completed the project in two weekends.
Specs: Wall- 4' high x 88' long
